Dinner @ Restauran Bukit Tinggi BBQ

Y’s father invited J and I to have dinner together with his family. He drove us to Bukit Tinggi for dinner is something that has to be planned and some recommended dishes had to be pre-booked. According to him, the restaurant owner can be a bit on eccentric side, and can choose not to serve you if you come after 8pm.

The interesting part of the restaurant is the décor. The wall of restaurant is decorated by empty wine and liquor bottles. I wonder how the owner collects the bottles and how creative he is. Signed umbrellas are hung proudly from the ceiling. Customer can sign their umbrella and hang to the ceiling.

I was looking forward to the Seafood Pot most of all. Mostly crabs, prawns and clams are steamed over clear stock and thus, most of the seafood essence is retained as it drips into the stock. When the seafood is cleared off, the waitress takes away the pot and adds leafy vegetable and mushrooms into the stock serving it as vegetable soup. This is the winner with all of us.

Then the most interesting is the payment receipt. The waitress must know how to take order with the right symbol of each dish. Whoa! How a creative boss

Pheonix Egg Roll with Seaweed and Shredded Pork Jerky @ Koi Kei Bakery, Macao

The phoenix egg roll with seaweed and shredded pork jerky is handmade egg roll. It’s very crunchy and tasty. In Koi Kei bakery, they bake the egg roll on the spot. And allow customers to taste it. You can find Koi Kei bakery all the way you walked in Macao. I need to say, it’s crowded in all branches. So wherever you go, you can find this egg roll.

Cozinha Pinocchio, Macao

Cozinha Pinocchio is a Macao culinary landmark, serving excellent Macanese and Portuguese food for last 30 years above. The interior design is unpretentious with brick walls all around. It is quite busy and noisy restaurant, so do not expect to spend a romantic evening there.

Restaurante Litoral, Macao

Restaurante Litoral is one of the finest Portuguese/Macanese restaurants around Macao and nearby regions. It’s located near the interior part area in Macao, 3 minutes away from the AhMa Temple and the Maritime Museum. Lunch @ Wildfire at Stanley Plaza, Stanley, Hong Kong

Stanley is a town and tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It located on a peninsula of the southern east part of Hong Kong Island. The Chinese name “Chek Chue” refers to the original village-town but “Stanley” generally refers to all the surrounding area of the peninsula.

We had lunch in Wildfire which located in Murray House which is a Victorian-era building. We sat outdoor even though the weather is winter. We could enjoy the nice view of Stanley.
