Dinner @ Restauran Bukit Tinggi BBQ

Y’s father invited J and I to have dinner together with his family. He drove us to Bukit Tinggi for dinner is something that has to be planned and some recommended dishes had to be pre-booked. According to him, the restaurant owner can be a bit on eccentric side, and can choose not to serve you if you come after 8pm.

The interesting part of the restaurant is the d├ęcor. The wall of restaurant is decorated by empty wine and liquor bottles. I wonder how the owner collects the bottles and how creative he is. Signed umbrellas are hung proudly from the ceiling. Customer can sign their umbrella and hang to the ceiling.

I was looking forward to the Seafood Pot most of all. Mostly crabs, prawns and clams are steamed over clear stock and thus, most of the seafood essence is retained as it drips into the stock. When the seafood is cleared off, the waitress takes away the pot and adds leafy vegetable and mushrooms into the stock serving it as vegetable soup. This is the winner with all of us.

Then the most interesting is the payment receipt. The waitress must know how to take order with the right symbol of each dish. Whoa! How a creative boss

Pheonix Egg Roll with Seaweed and Shredded Pork Jerky @ Koi Kei Bakery, Macao

The phoenix egg roll with seaweed and shredded pork jerky is handmade egg roll. It’s very crunchy and tasty. In Koi Kei bakery, they bake the egg roll on the spot. And allow customers to taste it. You can find Koi Kei bakery all the way you walked in Macao. I need to say, it’s crowded in all branches. So wherever you go, you can find this egg roll.

Homemade Cookies @ Jenny Bakery, Stanley, Hong Kong

If you love cookies, you must not miss on trying this yummy and nice homemade cookies from Hong Kong. Chi brought us to Stanley and recommended us this cookies during our trip to Hong Kong in year 2010. She mentioned a lot of people purposely come to Stanley and buy the cookies from the HQ.

There got 4 mix flavors tin and 8 mix flavors tin. We followed Chi buy the 8 mix flavors tin. There got 2 sizes of tin, small and medium. As they mentioned, the tin will change new design once a while to keep their image fresh. The tin designed in Christmas feel as the Christmas season was approaching.

Cozinha Pinocchio, Macao

Cozinha Pinocchio is a Macao culinary landmark, serving excellent Macanese and Portuguese food for last 30 years above. The interior design is unpretentious with brick walls all around. It is quite busy and noisy restaurant, so do not expect to spend a romantic evening there.
